Knowing your site
The process begins by arranging for a KUHN-trained application engineer to visit your quarry or mine. They visit to gather all of the information that is needed for a thorough analysis. This information includes site measurements, machine travel distances, travel path grades, travel surface conditions, handled-material hardness, your current production, your target production, and your existing fleet of machines including their capacities.
Making the analysis
After gathering all of the pertinent data, it is then fed into Komatsu’s OFR simulation program. This program determines the optimum solution(s), backed by full documentation. The program can easily accommodate a change in any of the input data in minutes, easily answering any “what ifs” that you may have. The OFR recommendation results are founded on the combination of sound and proven engineering principles, accurate physical data, and over a decade of hands-on OFR programme experience.
